PLAY 60 Week pres. by Texas Children's Hospital

MONDAY – PLAY 60 at the Park
PLAY 60 Week was kicked off with PLAY 60 at the Park, which featured an afternoon of fun-filled activities to keep children active and promote 60 minutes of exercise. Texans players Braxton Miller and Brian Peters along with Texans Ambassador Kevin Walker, TORO and Texans Cheer all came out to promote kids to PLAY 60. When guests checked in, they received a PLAY 60 at the Park Activity Passport, which they used to log all physical activities, such as Hula Hoops, Touchdown Celebration, Fuel Up to Play 60 and Texans Says. Completed Activity Passports were entered into a drawing to win two tickets to watch the Texans face off against the Tennessee Titans in the Kids Day – A Celebration of PLAY 60 game presented by Texas Children's Hospital.

TUESDAY – PLAY 60 All Ability Clinic 
Texans hosted a PLAY 60 All Ability Clinic for 100 Special Olympics athletes on Tuesday, Sep. 26. Texans Head Coach Bill O'Brien, the rookie class and TORO attended, along with coaches from the Special Olympics Texas. The Texans players ran various football drills with the participants. Houston Texans Cheerleaders was also there to help cheer the participants on.

WEDNESDAY – Get Fit with TORO school assembly –
JJ Moses and TORO made a "surprise" appearance at Scanlan Oaks Elementary to play some Texans Trivia and teach kids the importance of being active and eating a healthy diet.  This was the third year of the school program and the kickoff assembly was held in Fort Bend ISD.  During the 2017-2018 school year, the Houston Texans, TORO and Texas Children's Hospital will visit 25 schools in Houston and surrounding areas to promote health and wellness of our youth.  
                                                                          
THURSDAY – Fuel Up to Play 60 school assembly 
Houston Texans Fuel Up To Play 60 assembly was hosted by Houston Texans Ambassador, JJ Moses. Students learned about fueling their body with healthy foods and the benefits of being active for 60 minutes every day.

FRIDAY – PLAY 60 Week Peprally at Texas Children's Hospital 
PLAY 60 week came to a close a Texas Children's Hospital Pep-Rally event. Kids enjoyed activities like snow cones, photo booth, pennant making, TORO and Cheer autographs! PLAY 60 Week was celebrated at the Kids Day game presented by Texas Children's Hospital.

SUNDAY- Kids Day – A Celebration of PLAY 60 game presented by Texas Children's Hospital
PLAY 60 is the National Football League's campaign to encourage kids to be active for 60 minutes a day in order to help reverse the trend of childhood obesity. In order to help promote the PLAY 60 campaign, one week leading up to the Kids Day game presented by Texas Children's Hospital, the Texas and Texas Children's Hospital teamed up to create a week full of events to help further the PLAY 60 message and help kids across Houston get active and stay active.

PLAY 60 week came to a close with a Texas Children's Hospital Pep Rally event. Kids enjoyed activities like sno-cones, photobooth, pennant making, TORO and Cheer autographs!
