Right Combination: Braxton Miller gets 1st NFL TD

Posted Nov 21, 2016

Braxton Miller scored his first career TD and helped the Texans tie it up at 10-apiece.

Braxton Miller picked a fine time to catch his first NFL touchdown.

The rookie wide receiver hauled in a 12-yard Brock Osweiler pass on 2nd-and-goal with 7:59 left in the second quarter. After Nick Novak's extra point, the Texans were tied with the Raiders at 10-all.

It was the ninth play of a 75-yard drive that burned 4:49 off the game clock.

Osweiler and the Texans marched down the field in large part because of 51 rushing yards on four carries by Lamar Miller. The running back peeled off bursts of eight, seven and 33 yards on the possession. The 33-yarder was intially a 34-yard touchdown, but the official's review ruled that he stepped out of bounds at the 1-yard line.

On 1st-and-goal, Osweiler's pass was batted back to him by Denico Autry. He was tackled for a loss of six yards.

Osweiler linked up with Miller on the next play for the scoring strike.
