O.D. feeling the fantasy love

After two productive seasons, tight end Owen Daniels is becoming a trendy pick in fantasy football circles. The University of Wisconsin product ranked sixth among all NFL tight ends with 63 catches for 768 yards last season, adding three scores to make him a potent weapon in head coach Gary Kubiak's offense.

Daniels tallied a reception in every game last season, and his consecutive games with a reception streak stands at 19. He intends to remain consistent this season and find his way to the end zone a few more times. His improvement after a rookie season that saw him finish tops in NFL among rookie tight ends with 34 catches for 352 yards and five touchdowns makes the fantasy buzz surrounding Daniels certifiably justified.

"I've got friends coming up to me all the time saying that they've got me on their fantasy squad, even strangers out here saying that I've helped them out," Daniels said. "That flatters me when they tell me people pick me up and they've got me on their team. I feel bad if I don't help them out. That's kind of cool that people write that in magazines. I guess I'd rather not be a sleeper. I'd rather be a guy that people are expecting to do well, but I guess that gives me more motivation."
