A few quotes from Texans wide receiver Andre Johnson and quarterback Matt Schaub were distributed in the press box late in the first quarter. Here they are:
Johnson(on his touchdown) "We ran a pump route and he (Eagles cornerback Asante Samuel) was all over it. Coach (Norv) Turner said when we get third-and-six that we'd call sommething like that, and it was a perfect call."
(on being excited about having the first touchdown of the game) "It was my first Pro Bowl touchdown. You can't beat the feeling, it's a great feeling."
Schaub
(on marching the team down the field for a touchdown on the opening drive) "It felt great. We had worked on some of those plays all week. I have a great group of guys to throw to and the O-line is protecting, so it was a great first drive."
(on connecting with Johnson for the score) "I told him I'm coming to him whenever I can, and it just presented itself (well) right there."
(on his first Pro Bowl experirence) "It was amazing. It was a great week getting to know all these guys and having a good time. It was a great week."
As for the game, and the NFC now leads 17-14 after Aaron Rodgers passed to DeSean Jackson for seven yards and a score with 11:23 left in the first half. The AFC is quickly marching back down the field, though.
