Three Straight AFC Player of the Week Honors in H-Town

16x9 (40)

With Ka'imi Fairbairn winning AFC Special Teams Player of the Week honors for his six field goal game against Indy, this makes three POTW honors in a row for the Texans for the first time in the same season!

This is also back-to-back for Texans special teamers as Tommy Townsend won the award last week following Derek Stingley Jr.'s honor.

It's also the sixth time one of Special Teams Coordinator Frank Ross's bunch won it since he took over coaching 'the third phase' in 2021.

As the leading scorer in franchise history, Fairbairn continues to break records like Taylor Swift on tour.

Since he entered the league in 2017, he has more field goals than anyone else (255). And we're not talking chip shots. He has hit more bombs (50+ yard field goals) than any other kicker over that span (51). His 44 field goals this season tied for first in the NFL all-time in a single season!

There have been dozens of AFC Player of the Week winners in Texans history. It's worth noting that the very first one was for Aaron Glenn's two pick-6 performance in the only Texans win at Pittsburgh back in the inaugural season of 2002. I've got chills.

Let's go Texans!
