Kayla Esposito is the chair of a young professional organization. She helps promote the professional development, networking, and community events. She also is the lead chair for a annual charity golf tournament that collects money to donate to charities around Houston. She deserves this award for all of her hard efforts.

Krystal Pérez‑Navarrete is an Assistant Principal at J.P. Henderson Elementary School in Houston ISD, with 15 years of educational experience and a strong background in student support and leadership. Dawn is more than an incredible trainer and mentor—she is a true champion in the community and a powerful example of what it means to lead with purpose. As an IFBB Pro bodybuilder, CEO of an all-women's gym, and pageant queen, she embodies strength, confidence, discipline, and grace in every area of her life. But what makes Dawn truly extraordinary is her unwavering commitment to empowering women and helping them become the strongest, most confident versions of themselves—both physically and mentally. Her mission extends far beyond the gym; she teaches women how to face life's challenges, believe in themselves, and take up space unapologetically. And as a lupus warrior, Dawn demonstrates incredible resilience and courage, turning her own journey into inspiration for countless others. She doesn't just talk about overcoming adversity—she lives it. Dawn is proof that true champions don't just win for themselves; they lift others as they rise.

Ryan McLennan

I am honored to nominate Ryan McLennan as a Houston Texans & Crown Royal Community Champion because he consistently goes above and beyond to make a difference in the lives of others. As a real estate agent and team lead, he helps people navigate buying and selling homes, including those facing difficult circumstances. He also mentors new agents and the next generation entering the profession. Outside of real estate, Ryan volunteers with Ainsley's Angels, pushing individuals with intellectual disabilities in chariots during 5Ks, half marathons, and the Houston Marathon, helping make the joy of racing accessible to everyone. He hosts community shredding events, delivers Thanksgiving pies to neighbors in the community, and is always willing to help, whether reuniting someone with a lost dog, helping an elderly person with directions, or assisting a neighbor with a water leak. Ryan never looks for recognition, he simply sees someone who needs help and steps up. Ryan truly represents what it means to be a champion in our community.

Kashala Pope

Pope is an Executive Director, Houston Texans YMCA Kashala T. Pope is a passionate non-profit professional with over 20 years of experience in youth development. At the YMCA of Greater Houston, Kashala leads youth development initiatives focused on empowering teens through programs, mentorship, and community engagement. Her work aligns with the YMCA's mission to impact individuals and families, offering a range of programs and services to support youth growth and community inclusion. In 2023, she was named Executive Director, Teens & Houston Texans YMCA, reflecting her expanded leadership role within the organization.

Courtney Doyle

Cleveland ISD Courtney deserves the Houston Texans Crown Award because she shows up every day for children who often need someone to believe in them the most. As a behavior and special education teacher, she works with students facing significant academic, behavioral, and emotional challenges, meeting each child with patience, consistency, compassion, and high expectations. Courtney celebrates progress others may overlook—a successful transition, a calm response, a completed assignment, or a moment of confidence—and turns those small victories into lifelong growth.

ANTHONY DORAZIO
Anthony graduated from Fordham University's Gabelli School of Business with a bachelor's degree in finance and commissioned through Fordham University's ROTC program as a Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Army in May 2025. Since February 2026, he has served as a Platoon Leader in Fort Hood, leading Soldiers, and overseeing logistics operations in support of mission readiness.

DERRICK FARROW

Derrick Farrow is an Associate Flight Operations Manager at Jeppesen ForeFlight and a seasoned aviation professional with over 25 years of industry experience. A graduate of Texas Southern University, Derrick earned a B.S. in Aviation Science Management and holds an FAA certification as a flight dispatcher. Beyond his career, Derrick is committed to developing others through leadership and mentorship. He is the immediate past president of the Alpha Beta Sigma Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. Currently, he serves as Mentoring Co-Chair for the 100 Black Men of Metro Houston. Derrick is also a retired U.S. Army Reservist, bringing discipline and service to everything he leads. Derrick enjoys traveling, mentoring, reading, watching sports, and fitness. He is the proud father of one son, Dylan, a Mechanical Engineering major at UT San Antonio. He also serves as a member of the Texas Southern University National Alumni Association.

KRISTI FOGLEMAN
Kristi Fogleman, a 25+ year 9-1-1 professional, served as Texas APCO President while continuing her role as Training Coordinator for Montgomery County Emergency Communication District. Following the devastating July 2025 Texas Hill Country floods, she immediately mobilized Texas APCO and Texas NENA to deliver the one item most requested by telecommunicators working tirelessly through the disaster—a hot meal. She coordinated a mobile kitchen, identified critical agency needs, and helped provide supplies, equipment, and ongoing peer support. In September, Kristi and her daughter, Memory, drove more than 1,000 miles across the Hill Country to personally deliver gifts to every flood-affected telecommunicator and visit those who suffered personal loss. Despite these efforts, she also planned two statewide training events and advocated for 9-1-1 professionals before the Texas Legislature and Congress in Washington, D.C. Kristi's servant leadership exemplifies compassion, dedication, and unwavering commitment to the 9-1-1 profession.

With more than a decade of experience driving measurable impact across the education, healthcare, wellness, and nonprofit sectors, she has consistently demonstrated an outstanding ability to build strategic partnerships, lead collaborative initiatives, and create meaningful change within the communities she serves. Throughout her career, Carldeon has successfully aligned community investments with organizational priorities while cultivating trusted relationships with executives, community leaders, and key stakeholders. Her talent for bringing diverse groups together around a shared vision has resulted in innovative programs, expanded access to critical resources, and sustainable solutions that strengthen communities and improve outcomes for individuals and families. A proud graduate of Louisiana State University's Manship School of Mass Communication, Carldeon leverages her expertise in strategic communication, program leadership, and stakeholder engagement to advance impactful community initiatives. Known as a connector, advocate, and trusted leader, Carldeon consistently inspires others through her authenticity, vision, and commitment to creating opportunities for those she serves.

MICHAEL MCCORDIC
Michael is a true Champion of the Community through his dedication to teaching essential swimming skills to every fourth-grade student in the district. By ensuring all children have access to swim education, he is able to promote water safety, confidence, and lifelong skills that can help prevent drowning and save lives. The program he teaches removes barriers by providing equitable instruction regardless of background or experience, fostering inclusion and opportunity for every student. Beyond learning to swim, students gain confidence, resilience, and a sense of accomplishment. Through consistent commitment, patience, and passion for youth development, Michael has positively impacted countless students and families. Their work strengthens public safety, supports healthy development, and leaves a lasting, meaningful impact on the entire community.

As the executive producer of Spin the Block, Chapman has become a true catalyst for Houston's creative culture. By consistently creating a platform that spotlights local DJs, artists, influencers, and entrepreneurs, he has helped turn visibility into opportunity.
