Battle Red Day this Sunday vs. Colts | Daily Brew

Sunday is Battle Red Day presented by Mattress Firm at NRG Stadium.

The Texans (4-7) host the Colts (7-4) at Noon CT, and they'll wear their Battle Red jerseys and Liberty White pants. It's the 22nd time they'll wear those tops, and Houston is 11-10 all-time in them.

Basketball Hall of Famer Rudy Tomjanovich will be the Homefield Advantage Team Captain. One of the most beloved athletes and coaches in the city's history, 'Rudy T' was an NBA All-Star five times for the Houston Rockets. He later guided the franchise to a pair of titles in the mid-1990's, and was also the head coach of the 2000 USA basketball squad, which won the gold medal in Sydney.

Battle Red Day presented by Mattress Firm also doubles as 'My Cause, My Cleats' Sunday for the Texans. Players will wear cleats designed especially for them to highlight a charitable cause they support.

The Texans beat the Colts at NRG Stadium in 2019, triumphing 20-17 in a Week 12 Thursday Night Football matchup.
