Breakfast: Important week ahead for the franchise

BWTBheader.jpg

The next six days are big ones for the Houston Texans.

Later this afternoon, members of the front office, coaches and some players will head to the links for the 16th annual Houston Texans Charity Golf Classic presented by BMW.

On Thursday, the rookies will arrive for physicals and orientation, and they'll hit the field Friday, Saturday and Sunday for the rookie minicamp.

The golf tournament is expected to raise $380,000 this year, and it'll all go to the Houston Texans Foundation, which supports the Houston Texans YMCA, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Houston and the Houston Food Bank. The foundation has funneled over $30 million worth of support to those organizations since 2002.

As for the rookies, it'll be our first look at the eight draftees and dozen or so undrafted free agents and tryout players in a Houston Texans practice uniform.

We'll have more from their Friday and Saturday workouts.
