John Simon's name littered the stat sheet, in a good way, in Sunday's win at Jacksonville.
The Texans outside linebacker finished with six tackles, a sack, two tackles for a loss and a batted pass in the 24-20 victory, but he was focused on the team win.
"It's big for us," Simon said. "We wanted to put a complete game together, and we still got a lot of things we need to work on."
Simon dropped Bortes for a 10-yard sack in the fourth quarter. The Jaguars were facing a 3rd-and-10 at the Houston 44-yard line. Jacksonville was forced to punt with 6:12 remaining in the contest.
"We were just running a pressure up front, trying to get guys free, and I was the one that came free," Simon said. "It was my responsibility to make the play, and all I know is there was a big pile on the quarterback so a lot of guys got there, and that's the job of the rush."
Simon and the Texans defense forced a pair of Jacksonville turnovers on the day, and helped limit the Jaguars ground game to just 80 yards rushing on the day.

The Traveling Texans fans showed up in full force for the matchup in Jacksonville with the Jaguars.
