!It's an ironic headline, considering that Ben Jones likes to walk barefoot on the football field as a pregame ritual every week.
The offensive lineman does appreciate shoes though.
Jones recently outfitted football players from his high school alma mater, Bibb County, with new cleats.
Head football coach Matt Geohagan tweeted out this picture on Wednesday night:
Jones, a native of Centreville, Ala., attended Bibb County High School and earned Alabama Sports Writers Association Class 5A first-team All-State honors as a senior. He also was a standout first baseman and pitcher for the school's baseball team.
