Breakfast: Texans home run derby

It's All-Star week for Major League Baseball, as the sport's best players put on a show for fans during Monday's home run derby and last night's All-Star game at Petco Park in San Diego.

Marlins right fielder Giancarlo Stanton crushed 61 home runs Monday night, by far the most ever hit in a single home run derby.

The festivities reminded me of earlier this year on May 14, when several Texans teammates joined J.J. Watt at Minute Maid Park for his annual Charity Classic softball game. While linebacker Brian Cushing was crowned the home run champion, Watt, punter Shane Lechler and others crushed some pitches of their own.

Highlights included players taking selfies with fans throughout the evening, former First Lady Barbara Bush throwing out the first pitch wearing #99 socks, and the veterans surprising the rookies with a water gun fight.

Defensive tackle Vince Wilfork showed he should probably stick to football, but his uniform was absolute perfection.
