The Honey Badger has fans, and many of them include his new teammates on the Texans.

Free agent safety Tyrann Mathieu, who's nickname is the "Honey Badger", agreed to terms with Houston on Friday night. Very quickly, a handful of Texans sounded off on social media about the move. Mathieu, who was a First-Team All-Pro selection in 2015, spent the first five seasons of his career with the Cardinals. He'll take a physical Monday morning and sign a deal with Houston shortly thereafter, and his addition to the club was welcomed by several key members.

In fact, defensive end J.J. Watt cryptically referred to the deal moments before it was actually announced on Friday, tweeting three honey pots.

After news of the deal broke, Watt tweeted out a celebratory gif.

Quarterback Deshaun Watson chimed in as well, and was enthusiastic about Mathieu's move to Houston.

Safety Andre Hal, who hails from Louisiana like Mathieu and fellow defensive back Treston Decoud, welcomed the Honey Badger to town.

Cornerback Aaron Colvin, who signed with the Texans on Thursday, was happy Mathieu would be joining him in Houston.

Mathieu was pretty excited to hear from his new teammates, and fired back a slew of responses.
