BWTB: Dealing with Pregame Anxiety

!Many NFL players still get nervous before every single game, no matter how long they have played in the league. Not knowing how the game will go, how one will play, the entire bucket of unknowns seems to factor into the pregame anxiety.

Each player deals with it differently. Extreme players resort to extreme measures. Some may vomit. The Texans' running backs simply need to take a hit before their nerves settle down.

"The anxiousness is in not knowing," Greg Jones says. "That's all. (I) just try to get out there and after the first contact it's all gone. For me, that's how it is."

"If we start the game first with three or four passes, I still feel like I haven't started the game yet ," Ben Tate says. "I gotta get hit." * Twitter.com/DeepSlant*
