Left tackle Duane Brown was a last minute addition to the 2014 Pro Bowl, replacing Philadelphia Eagles tackle Jason Peters, it was announced last week. Brown will be making his second appearance in the NFL's all-star feature, which kicks off at 6 p.m. CST on Sunday, Jan. 26 at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Elated for his trip to the Pacific, Brown spoke about his Pro Bowl nod during the 2014 Souper Bowl of Caring food drive Wednesday morning.
"Hawaii never gets old," he said. "It was a fun time last year. I'm looking forward to the weather, the beach, and just kicking back and relaxing."
After a challenging season, the All-Pro views the Pro Bowl selection as a silver lining to a season Texans players and fans would like to forget
"It's something that you work hard for. To be recognized for your talent and to be able to go back a second year is a great feeling. It would feel a lot sweeter if we had more success as a team, but it's an honor."
