BWTB: Texans' Brass Not Hoping for Number One Pick

!

Is Bob McNair hoping to get the number one pick in the NFL draft? Not according to Antonio Smith.

At his weekly radio show Tuesday night (6pm TexansRadio.com-SportsRadio 610), Smith said that the Texans founder and CEO addressed the team and made it clear that winning Sunday in Indianapolis is paramount.

"He said, flat out, 'we're not in this to get (the number one pick). I want to win this game. I want to win every game for the rest of this season.'…It lit up the room. You could see the change in the players' faces." Smith said.

General Manager and Executive Vice President Rick Smith echoed the sentiment in his weekly Texans Radio appearance, "We're not in draft season. We're into this football season and that's what the focus is."

It won't be easy to snap the streak. The Colts fell to Cincinnati last week but have not lost two games in a row in Chuck Pagano's nearly two years as head coach.

And whether it's Lucas Oil Stadium or the RCA Dome, the Colts' home has always been a house of horrors for the Texans. Even two years ago, when the Colts were on their way to a 2-14 season and the number one pick in the draft, they defeated Houston with Dan Orlovsky at quarterback.

The Texans are 0-11 all time in Indianapolis.
