In Houston, there's no question that we love our food. Tex-Mex, BBQ, burgers, sandwiches, sweets—you name it, Houston's got it down to an art form.
That's why the Texans and ARAMARK, the team's exclusive food, beverage, merchandise and facilities partner, are dedicated to providing fans with the best in-stadium experience imaginable. From LED lighting to gameday grub, NRG Stadium offers first class amenities to home team and visiting fans alike.
"Every year we use our extensive research to identify opportunities to make our world-class gameday experience even more enjoyable for our fans," said Jamey Rootes, President of the Houston Texans. "This year, we have over 50 separate gameday innovations that we are implementing, including an expanded assortment of items from James Beard Award winning chef Chris Shepherd and offerings from some of Houston's most popular restaurants that we know our fans will appreciate."
On Wednesday, the Texans hosted an exclusive event previewing the expanded food menu and unveiling NRG Stadium's new merchandise offerings. Shepherd and local culinary star Grady Spears were on hand to discuss their contributions while media members and special guests perused the food booths, sampling delectable eats prepared on the scene.
Starting this season, items designed by Shepherd and Spears are available in the general concessions area for all fans to enjoy. Grady's Carvery, located in sections 109, 129, and 327, will feature hand carved sandwiches including the delicious "No Bull Texans Chicken Stack". Shepherd's Hay Merchant (section 101) features upscale pub fare including PB&J Wings and Tater Tots.
Several Houston-are restaurant favorites have also joined NRG Stadium's culinary lineup. New to the roster is:
Goode Company (sections 308, 336)
Berryhill Baja Cantina (section 135)
Menchies Frozen Yogurt (sections 101, 112, 121, 132, 323, 351, 520, 546, 511, 531, 537, 505)
Genghis Grill (sections 132 and 510)
Bernie's Burger Bus will return to section 115 on the main course and will continue to offer their signature handcrafted burgers and fries.
New on the Club Level:
Green Fork Express
In addition to the edible enhancements, NRG Stadium upgraded their merchandise stores. Texans fans will be greeted by a renovated entrance to the main Go Texan Store that now features a large bull head similar to the one players run out of on gameday. A women's style lounge called Battle Red Ladies Boutique has been added to Section 119, featuring stylish women's apparel and accessories. Also, the Houston Texans will launch Player inspired: Kareem Jackson Fly Guy on Sept. 9. This is a new product line designed by players themselves.
Enjoy all the new amenities NRG Stadium has to offer, and we'll see you on gameday.
