BWTB: Texans-Jaguars connections

!

The Texans and Jaguars get together tomorrow evening on Thursday Night Football (NFL Network, 7:25 p.m. CT) and they share a few notable connections.

Fullback Greg Jones spent nine seasons in Jacksonville after a college career at Florida State. Running back Deji Karim was drafted by the Jaguars in the sixth round of the 2010 Draft, and spent that season and 2011 with the team.

Meanwhile, Jacksonville defensive end Jason Babin was a first-round pick of the Texans in 2004.

Cornerback Alan Ball and running back Justin Forsett were both Texans in 2012. Forsett is out with a broken foot and won't play. He'll always have a special place in Texans' fans hearts for his touchdown at Detroit on Thanksgiving last year. He also played a prominent role in the "Hoops Basketball" episode of 'On the Nose' with Shaun Cody.

Quarterbacks coach Karl Dorrell was the head coach at UCLA from 2003 to 2007. Jacksonville running back Maurice Jones-Drew and tight end Marcedes Lewis played for him while he was there.

West Texas A&M is an FCS school in NCAA football, and a pair of former Buffs will square off against each other. Texans linebacker Bryan Braman and Jaguars receiver Stephen Burton were both at the Canyon, TX college in 2009 and 2010.
