Carucci chronicles Texans camp

NFL.com senior columnist Vic Carucci penned **a superbly in-depth account** of his two days at Texans training camp today, discussing individual players, standout performances, key storylines for the 2009 season and the heightened expectations surrounding the team this season.

"This is a great football town and they want winners," Texans owner Bob McNair says in Carucci's report. "Their expectation level is high, but believe me, when we're in the playoffs, this city is going to go crazy, absolutely crazy. That's what I'm in it for ... to see the excitement and the fun that the people have out of it really makes it all worthwhile."

Carucci and NFL.com's Gil Brandt came to Houston to watch practice and do an on-location brodcast for SIRIUS NFL Radio as part of SIRIUS' tour of NFL training camps. **Brandt predicted that the Texans will win the AFC South** this year. I had the pleasure of interviewing both Brandt and Carucci, and I'll be putting my wide-ranging interview with Carucci up on HoustonTexans.com sometime next week.
