A Week 1 road game in New England is on tap for the Texans this Sunday. Many Patriots coaches and player shared their thoughts on the Texans, as you can see below.
**Head coach Bill Belichick on the Texans defense**: "The front four or front seven, however you want to look at it because some of those players are a little bit interchangeable, are very good. One of the things that the Texans do a good job of is they don't always line up in the same place. So sometimes finding them or identifying where they are is a little bit of a problem."
**Head coach Bill Belichick on Texans defensive coordinator Romeo Crennel**: Nobody is better than Romeo in running a defense and creating problems for the offense and utilizing his personnel. So it's just a very challenging situation for us … to be able to not only handle the players where they traditionally line up but when creates schemes that moves them or puts them in places to attack our offense that makes it even a little bit more challenging."
**Offensive line coach Dante Scarnecchia on the Texans defensive front**: "Hopefully we keep the wolves at bay. They're pretty darn good. When you take a guy like Clowney, and all of a sudden they move him to linebacker behind the line, it's not because they want him to cover, they want him to blitz, and they want him matched up on a back. That's a problem."
**Defensive line coach Brendan Daly on QB Deshaun Watson**: "You obviously want to have him contained, you obviously want to have the edge handled but one of the biggest issues that we learned last year is, you can have him, but you don't have him. Getting this guy on the ground is one of the more difficult things out there. You can't let him have free access around the perimeter obviously. But even when you do a good job there, he's so elusive in the pocket in terms of making people miss, we had a major issue with that in our game last year and people continued to have an issue with that through last year and into the preseason this year. He's very elusive."
**Right tackle Marcus Cannon on the Texans defense**: It seems like everybody on that team, their starters, their backups, everybody knows their names. They're good. They've been good. They prove every year that they're a force to be reckoned with. Those guys, they're amazing. So, we're just focused on getting everything right, our assignments, and covering these guys up. You've just got to do really good against these guys, because any time you make one mistake they're going to capitalize.''
**Tight end Rob Gronkowski on having to block Jadeveon Clowney and J.J. Watt**: "They're unreal talents. They're great players and you definitely need help to block those guys. I mean, if that's what the coaches ask me to do, if that's the play call, I've got to go in there and I've got to get my nose dirty."
**Cornerback Stephon Gilmore on WR DeAndre Hopkins, as well as QB Deshaun Watson**: "You got to really play physical with him (Hopkins) and fight him all the way to the ground when the ball comes his way. You got to stay on the receivers as long as you can because he (Watson) can make plays with his legs. He's a good quarterback."
