High praise for a young Texan, WR goalzzz & Ahman Green | Daily Brew

We're halfway through the work week, and just eight days away from Independence Day.

The Texans will kick off the preseason slate of games just five weeks from tomorrow night, as they'll line up against the Bears in the Hall of Fame game in Canton, Ohio on August 1st.

Defensive linemen Denico Autry, Danielle Hunter and Will Anderson, Jr. won't likely play much, if at all. But the former two are mightily impressed with Anderson, a second-year pro and reigning Defensive Rookie of the Year.

ESPN's D.J. Bien-Amie wrote a piece about wide receiver Nico Collins wanting to crack the 1,500-yard mark in 2024.

Collins is part of a talented wide receiver crew. Stefon Diggs, Tank Dell and a host of others are weapons for quarterback C.J. Stroud, and Jonathan Alexander of the Houston Chronicle wrote about the possibility of three pass-catchers each tallying 1,000 receiving yards or more this autumn.

Last night on Texans All Access, the great N.D. Kalu chopped it up with Ahman Green. Kalu, a longtime defensive end, was teammates with Green, the running back, briefly in Houston. It was a cool conversation. You can listen below.
