Houston's Walk of Fame now commemorates late founder Robert C. McNair | Daily Brew

The Houston Sports Hall of Fame unveiled a Walk of Fame plaque for the Texans' late founder Robert C. McNair on Thursday.

In addition to the plaque reveal, last year McNair was posthumously awarded the 2020 Lifetime Achievement Award. The Texans founder made an everlasting impact for more than 50 years with his philanthropy and contribution to the community. McNair and the 2020 Houston Sports Hall of Fame inductees Carl Lewis, Mary Lou Retton and Rudy Tomjanovich are now forever commemorated on the Walk of Fame on the GreenStreet Promenade in Downtown Houston.

The Houston Sports Hall of Fame also announced its Class of 2021 inductees which included Texans Legend and five-time All-Pro wide receiver Andre Johnson, in addition to Jeff Bagwell, Craig Biggio, Guy V. Lewis and Bill Yeoman. The newest Houston Hall of Fame class will be recognized at the 2021 Houston Sports Awards on April 26.
