Media Day rewind, Minicamp begins | Daily Brew

BrewJun4

Mandatory minicamp began today at the Houston Methodist Training Center.

The Texans hit the practice field and are scheduled to do so again tomorrow and Thursday, and then they're off until mid-July and the start of training camp.

Yesterday, though, the team held it's annual Media Day. The national TV networks had cameras in the building to record the players for in-game intros. For example, on NBC Sunday Night Football, when the starting lineups are introduced, there's a small video at the bottom of the screen and the player says his name and the school he attended. On top of recording those yesterday, the NRG Stadium videoboard folks, as well as the content crew here with the Texans took advantage of the time and got some cool stuff accomplished.

So we saw stuff like this below, from quarterback C.J. Stroud...

Or this exchange between wide receivers Tank Dell and Stefon Diggs...

Rookie defensive back Kamari Lassiter put the new uniform on and got in front of the camera...

Rookie tight end Cade Stover took some time and spoke with Texans Voice Marc Vandermeer, as well as Team Analyst/Radio Sideline Reporter John Harris. They covered stuff like the first month or so of being a rookie, Stover's pre-Draft/Ohio State connection and conversations with C.J. Stroud and a little bit more. You can watch it below.
