NFL.com's All Underrated team

DeMeco Ryans and Owen Daniels got some love recently from Dave Gladow of NFL.com. Gladow named the duo to his "All Underrated Team" for this coming season. (Click here to read the article)

For Daniels, it makes sense. The rookie tight end snuck in under the radar last season with five TD"s for a 6-10 team, obviously many people might not be aware of him.

The fact that Ryans can be deemed underrated is somewhat disturbing. The reigning NFL Defensive Player of the Year led the league in solo tackles. He should be a household name, at least in every NFL household.

The fact that Ryans is not epitomizes where this Texans team stands on a national stage…and the answer is nowhere.

I think that will change this year and players like Ryans, Daniels and even Andre Johnson will finally get the credit they deserve. Johnson has been one of the league's most dangerous offensive players for three seasons, yet you have to wonder how many people outside the Bayou City are aware of his talents.

The Texans, I believe, will have several players that draw national attention this year. Other than the trio mentioned above, look for big seasons out of Mario Williams, Dunta Robinson as well as Matt Schaub.

Ahman Green, a four-time Pro Bowl selection, isn't going to sneak up on anyone, but he's poised for another 1,000 yard season in my view.

Williams will live up to his potential in 2007 and I think Robinson will earn his first Pro Bowl selection in 2007 thanks to a defense that ranks among the league's best. Oh yes, I'm drinking the Kool-Aid, but you should to.

What Texan do you think is going to become a star this year?
