The Texans kick off the regular season in 87 days. They'll face the Colts on the road at noon on Sunday, September 8.
Right now, the veterans have dispersed, and the rookies will soon do the same after they wrap up some off-field programs over the next week or so.
One player who was a rookie in 2021 was tight end Brevin Jordan. His 76-yard touchdown catch-and-run in the playoff romp over the Browns gave Houston a lead they'd never relinquish.
Last week, Head Coach DeMeco Ryans singled out Jordan as someone who's shined throughout Organized Team Activities (OTAs) and minicamp. Jordan, meanwhile, met with Texans Voice Marc Vandermeer and Team Analyst/Radio Sideline Reporter John Harris, and shared about his focus for the year ahead...and NOT the past.
Quarterback C.J. Stroud is the one throwing the ball to Jordan and the rest of the pass-catchers on offense. Wide receiver Tank Dell, who was a rookie in 2023 with Stroud, has seen plenty of growth from the second-year signal-caller.
Finally, Happy Birthday to rookie tight end Cade Stover. He's 24 years old today.
