Roof repairs on schedule

AP writer Chris Duncan reports that the retractable roof at Reliant Stadium is **repaired and fully operational** again. Five of the roof's panels were destroyed during Hurricane Ike last September, forcing the Texans to play the remainder of the season with an open roof.

This would make the repairs right on schedule, as early forecasts had all of the work being completed by the start of the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo. The first day of the rodeo in Reliant Stadium is March 3.

The stadium floor has been covered with dirt for the past couple of weeks, and other interior decorations for the rodeo are starting to fill the stadium bowl as Reliant makes its annual Texans-to-rodeo switch. Expect rodeo merchandise to start filling the Go Texan Store in the coming days, as well as concerts and other events to dominate the Reliant Park landscape.
