Texans can clinch AFC South if...

BWTBheader.jpg

The Texans can sew up their fourth AFC South title in the last six years this Saturday.

But they'll need a little help.

If the Jaguars beat the Titans next Saturday afternoon, and Houston takes care of the Bengals later that evening, the Texans will be the division champs. The Texans and Titans currently have identical 8-6 records. Houston won the first encounter with Tennessee in Week 4 at NRG Stadium, and has a spotless 5-0 record within the division.

Tennessee, meanwhile, has a 1-3 record against the AFC South.

If both teams win next Saturday, then the winner of their season finale in Nashville will take home the AFC South.

If Tennessee wins next Saturday, and the Texans fall to the Bengals, Houston can still win the AFC South if they beat the Titans in Week 17. In that scenario, both the Texans and Titans would finish with 9-7 records, but the Texans would have a better head-to-head and AFC South record than Tennessee.
