Texans make moves; more coming with free agency | Daily Brew

In less than two days, the Texans and the rest of the NFL will begin the new League year.

With that comes the start of free agency, but earlier today the "legal tampering" period began. Today and tomorrow, unrestricted free agents and clubs can communicate with each other and agree to terms. Those terms can't be finalized until Wednesday at 3 p.m. CT at the earliest.

Houston's been active over the last few months in re-signing many of its own free agents. The specialists--kicker Ka'imi Fairbairn, punter Bryan Anger and long snapper Jon Weeks--all came to terms with the Texans ahead of the start of free agency. Receiver/returner DeAndre Carter did, too. Linebacker Dylan Cole and tight end Darren Fells also agreed to deals recently, and several other players have reportedly re-upped with Houston.

On Wednesday at 3 p.m. CT, the Texans can begin signing unrestricted free agents who played elsewhere in 2019
