Texans playoff seeding scenarios

BWTBheader.jpg

The Texans clinched the AFC South title on Saturday night.

On Sunday evening, when the Steelers beat the Ravens, the Texans solidified the 4th seed in the AFC playoffs.

The Texans are 9-6 and face the Titans in Nashville next Sunday at noon CT. Pittsburgh is 10-5 after their

Christmas afternoon victory over Baltimore. Even if the Texans won and Steelers lost to the Browns next Sunday, Pittsburgh would still own the 3rd seed based on the strength of schedule tiebreaker.

The Texans will host a Wild Card Playoff game against:

KANSAS CITY IF: The Raiders win at Denver OR the Chiefs lose at San Diego

OAKLAND IF: The Raiders lose at Denver AND the Chiefs win at San Diego

MIAMI IF: The Dolphins beat New England in Miami AND the Chiefs lose at San Diego

The winner of the Wild Card playoff game at NRG Stadium would advance to a Divisional Round playoff matchup at the top-seeded AFC team.
