Nico Collins is the Texans nominee for the 2025 Art Rooney Sportsmanship Award.
The veteran wide receiver is up for the honor that gets presented on an annual basis to the NFL player "who best demonstrates the qualities of on-field sportsmanship, including fair play, respect for the game and opponents, and integrity in competition."
Houston nominated Collins, who was named a captain by his teammates earlier this season. Nico Collins has been a driving force for the Houston Texans' offense in 2025, hauling in 52 receptions for 697 receiving yards, which ranks 17th in the NFL. He's found the end zone 4 times and is averaging a solid 13.4 yards per catch, showing he remains both a reliable target and a threat down the field.
The award was created in 2014 in honor of the late founding owner of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pro Football Hall of Famer Art Rooney Sr.
