Barwin at practice; no Cushing or D-Rob

As I was about to walk out to the Texans' first training camp practice just now, I've been informed that rookie second-round draft pick Connor Barwin just walked on to the field in pads to join the team. FOX 26 Houston reported minutes ago that **Barwin has signed a four-year deal** with the team, which would leave linebacker Brian Cushing as the Texans' lone unsigned draft pick.

Cushing and cornerback Dunta Robinson, who is unhappy with the franchise tag, are the only Texans players not to report to camp today. Tight end Owen Daniels and linebacker DeMeco Ryans are both at practice. Daniels, seeking a long-term contract, skipped the Texans' mandatory mini-camp in June after signing a one-year restricted free agent tender. Ryans, seeking an extension on his rookie contract, missed about a week of the Texans' voluntary offseason workouts in March but has been at every practice this offseason.
