Brisiel's season reportedly done

John McClain of the *Houston Chronicle *reported earlier this morning that starting right guard Mike Brisiel will be **placed on injured reserve** and miss the rest of the season with a foot injury suffered against the Arizona Cardinals. Texans coach Gary Kubiak gave limited information on Brisiel's foot injury during his Monday afternoon press conference.

"He's got an injured foot," Kubiak said. "He finished the game with it. I'll let you know probably more tomorrow, but it doesn't look good right now."

No official announcement has been made about Brisiel at this time. If one is to come, be on the lookout at 3 p.m. CT today; that's the time every Tuesday when official transactions (such as a player being placed on injured reserve) typically are announced by the team.

Brisiel has started 25 consecutive games for the Texans since being signed from the practice squad late in the 2007 season. Rookie Antoine Caldwell and fifth-year veteran Chris White would be the candidates to replace him in the starting lineup.
