Brock Osweiler praise pours in from former coaches

Brock Osweiler was a hot topic of conversation at the NFL Owners Meeting in Boca Raton, Florida.

The owners, general managers and head coaches from all 32 NFL teams are there for a few days this week, and the Texans quarterback has been showered with praise.

John Fox coaches the Bears now but was Denver's boss when the Broncos drafted the quarterback in 2012.

"I have the utmost respect for Brock," Fox said. "Talented guy. He moves well for a real tall guy. He's more athletic than people give him credit for. Very smart. Very humble."

The Bears will visit NRG stadium this year so Fox will get another look at his former pupil.

"I just can't say enough good things about him," Fox said. "I know he started seven games and went 5-2.  I think that's a continued trend, would me my prediction. Just knowing the young man and the football he's learned."

Mike McCoy is the head coach of the Chargers but was Osweiler's first offensive coordinator at Denver.

"We had a great experience working with him and I think he's going to benefit from the amount of time he spent with Peyton Manning and the way he prepares," McCoy said. "Adam (Gase) and I sat down with him when he was drafted and said 'Your time is going to come but you can't ever go by a day and wish you could have done things differently.'"

The time around Manning was invaluable for Osweiler, in the opinion of McCoy.

"It was an opportunity to learn from one of the best of all time and I think the success he had and now with him going to Houston is because he took advantage of that opportunity." McCoy said.

McCoy will also get a chance to see his former player when he brings the Chargers to NRG stadium this season.
