As **first reported** by Texans middle linebacker DeMeco Ryans, Texans TV's Brooke Bentley will soon be leaving the Texans organization to pursue a new career opportunity. Come July 15, Brooke is heading 90 miles east to Beaumont, where she will become the city's first female sports anchor as part of the news team at the local FOX affiliate (as Brooke puts it, she's going to be "the **Mark Berman** of Beaumont." They don't exactly look alike, but you catch her drift).
Brooke has been with the Texans for almost two years in her role as Texans TV reporter/beat writer/blogger/radio personality extraordinaire. Everybody at Reliant Stadium - from the players to the coaches to her colleagues in the front office - is sad to see her go. Brooke has done her job with passion and always made sure to do her homework so that she had the knowledge to go along with it. She's also been a great co-worker and friend.
This is her first gig on network television, and we couldn't be happier for her. So congratulations, Brooke. We'll miss you.
**Send Brooke your own well-wishes** on the Houston Texans Message Boards.
