BWTB: Texans vs. Titans snap counts

!

He's back.

I mean, let's be honest, there is only one player's (ok, maybe not just one, but one in particular) snap count you really want to know right?

Jadeveon Clowney, the number one overall pick of the 2014 draft, returned the field for the Texans on Sunday, manning his familiar spot along the defense's front seven as Houston picked up a 30-16 win to move to 4-4 on the season.

Clowney, who has been out since the first week of the regular season, got 32 snaps in on Sunday, the third most among all Texans linebackers. Those 32 snaps represent 52% of the defensive plays, as the Texans 'D' registered 61 plays against the Titans.

Only Whitney Mercilus (75%) and Mike Mohamed (70%) got more time in the linebacking core. Justin Tuggle (41%), Akeem Dent (36%) and Brooks Reed (33%) also saw time at the position.

For the first time since the team's win over Oakland, the Texans offense logged more time than the defense. Bill O'Brien and George Godsey called 82 plays offensively, and had five players on the field for every snap.

In addition to quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick, linemen Derek Newton, Brandon Brooks, Duane Brown and Chris Myers all had 100% participations. Guard Ben Jones (87%) shared time with second round pick Xavier Su'a-Filo (13%).
