We took a field trip to Rice University on Tuesday and sat in on a statistics class in the afternoon. Most of what was on the whiteboard looked like Sanskrit to me, but Texans tight end James Casey was able to make sense of it.
He still has some coursework left and he's finishing up his degree. It's impressive work, considering he still has a full-time job with the Texans, where he's keeping in shape, watching game tape and much more.
We'll have a video about it tomorrow, and Nick Scurfield is writing a story as well. But we talked with James, his statistics professor and also Rice head coach David Bailiff, and it promises to be a pretty cool story.
