Quin has the versatility to line up at free safety but will join the Texans as a cornerback.

After he was selected with the 112th overall pick in the fourth round of the 2009 NFL Draft, former New Mexico cornerback Glover Quin spoke with the Houston media via conference call.

CB Glover Quin

(on how he can help the Texans defense) "I think it will help them bringing in some toughness, bringing in some physical play at the corner position to add to the defense."

(on if he'd have any problems moving to free safety) "No, sir. I don't think it would be a problem at all. I'm a defensive back, and one thing I pride myself on is being versatile, so I want to come in and work as a corner and if I need to move to free safety, work as a free safety and do whatever I have to do to help the team."

{QUOTE}(on his special teams abilities) "I think I can play all special teams. I can return kicks, I can cover kicks – anything that I am asked to do on special teams, I can do it. So I think that will help out a lot, too."

(on if they told him whether or not he'd play corner) "Yes, sir. They told me I was coming in as a corner. I'm looking to play nickel corner, just keep practicing and, you know, try and move into the starting lineup."
