Davis Mills, Texans stage stunning fourth quarter comeback win

Down 29-10 entering the 4th quarter, the Houston Texans came back to knock off the Jacksonville Jaguars.

With QB Davis Mills spreading the ball around, the Texans refused to be denied.

First, Mills led a 65-yard drive that he finished off with a 12-yard connection to rookie WR Jayden Higgins.

When Houston got the ball back, Mills picked up where he left off, pinging the ball to WR Nico Collins and Higgins before closing the 51-yard march down the field with a 7-yard dart to TE Dalton Schultz.

Meanwhile, the Texans' vaunted defense held Jacksonville's offense to 2 yards over two drives – first marching them four yards backward before a six-yard four-and-out drive handed Mills the ball back again.

And off Mills went. With his 45th throw of the game, Mills put the Texans in position to score and then did the rest himself. On 3rd and 14, the Texans quarterback escaped pressure and rumbled into the end zone to put Houston ahead 30-29.

He finished the game 27-45 for 292 yards and two touchdowns, adding 20 yards and a TD with his legs.

Facing off against a former No. 1 pick, Mills was the star of the show.

Will Anderson Jr. finished the game off with a strip sack of Trevor Lawrence that fell into the hands of Sheldon Rankins. As time expired, the defensive tackled danced into the paint, a fitting symbol of a dominant defensive performance that allowed the offense to find their feet late.

The Texans are 4-5 and travel to Tennessee to face the Titans next Sunday at 12pm CT before returning to Houston on Thursday, November 20 to face the Buffalo Bills.
