First half ends with long miss by Brown

The first half of the Texans' preseason finale ended with a missed 56-yard field goal by Texans kicker Kris Brown. The Texans trail the Bucs at halftime 17-0.

Brown's attempt was the first kick of the night for either he or Neil Rackers, one of whom will be released by the Texans possibly as soon as tomorrow. Brown's kick looked good for a second or two, but it wound up a couple yards short.

There are a couple of entertaining youth football games going on down on the field right now. The Humble Jr. Texans are facing off against the Humble Jr. Eagles on one end, while the League City 49ers are taking on the Humble Sr. Patriots on the other.

The second half will be starting soon.
