Franklin settling in at USC

Jethro Franklin, who coached the Texans' defensive line from 2007-08, is settling in as the D-line coach at the University of Southern California. Franklin previously coached at USC in 2005 before leaving for a job with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

In a recent sit-down session with Los Angeles media, Franklin discussed, among other topics, how he grew during his time as an NFL coach.

**"It was tremendous,"** he said, per USCFootball.com. "It was great. It gave me an opportunity to be around a lot of different ideas, different schemes and different ways of handling and managing people. It definitely shows you the right way, the wrong way, what you should and shouldn't do and those sorts of things."
