The Houston Texans partnered with the YMCA to open a new Houston Texans YMCA and remains the first YMCA facility in the country to be named after a professional sports team. The Houston Texans YMCA offers day camps, child care, teen clubs and youth sports. The site includes an outdoor pool with spray park, gymnasium, health and wellness center, indoor and outdoor family, teen and children activity areas, multi-purpose rooms for education and skills training, and a community meeting center. The Houston Texans YMCA opened in January of 2011 and is located in Houston's Third Ward.
