Ike forces two-a-day; Harry Williams visits

Two-a-days normally end with training camp, but the uncertainty surrounding Hurricane Ike has caused the Texans to schedule a second practice tonight at the Methodist Training Center. Practice will begin at 8:00 p.m. and is scheduled to last until 9:15 p.m. Head coach Gary Kubiak will be available to media following practice and should be able to address team's plan in regards to Hurricane Ike at that time.

The team's first practice today went from 12:45-2:30 p.m. as scheduled. Injured wide receiver Harry Williams made a surprise visit to the team at the end of practice, walking on to the field under his own power before addressing his teammates.

"It brought a lot of memories back to see these guys again and give them a little motivation for Sunday's game...and just tell them to take it one day at a time, just like I'm taking it one day at a time," Williams said.

More on that to come in our daily practice report.
