Jags quick hits

Jaguars receiver Troy Williamson (torn labrum) is out for the season, per Michael C. Wright of the Florida Times-Union. The Jags also have cut rookie receiver Nate Hughes and tight end Greg Estandia.

Vito Stellino comments on the roster moves and looks ahead at who might step up for the Jags. Stellino says it's likely that Mike Thomas and rookie Jarett Dillard from Rice will make their debuts at Reliant Stadium on Sunday.

Gene Frenette of the Times-Union writes that the Jags' blackout in their 31-17 home opener loss to the Cardinals might have been a blessing in disguise. The Jags were booed off the field after trailing 24-3 at the end of the first half.

Dan Wetzel of Yahoo! Sports says that the city of Jacksonville is not a viable market for a professional sports team. Per Wetzel, Jacksonville Stadium has been without naming rights for two years, and the team has stated they won't sell out any games this season.
