Sunday, Sept. 21 - 1:09 p.m. NASHVILLE- Steve Slaton comes up with a clutch 6-yard touchdown run. The running back has five carries for 61 yards. It appears the rookie has arrived.

Sunday, Sept. 21 - 12:59 p.m. NASHVILLE- Houston's offense is starting to settle down and hit its stride. Tight end Owen Daniels made his biggest play so far this season, catching a 32-yard pass. Later, Kevin Walter was able to pick up a first down with a three-yard run.

Sunday, Sept. 21 - 12:47 p.m. NASHVILLE- So much for Collins not being a threat with his feet. The 35-year-old doesn't look like Vince Young, but he has recorded 12- and 17-yard runs in the first quarter.

Sunday, Sept. 21 - 12:42 p.m. NASHVILLE- The Texans once again stalled in the red zone. Schaub hasn't been able to find his timing. He recovered his own fumble and threw two incomplete passes. The Texans were forced to settle for a 24-yard field goal from Brown, which made the score 7-6.

Sunday, Sept. 21 - 12:38 p.m. NASHVILLE- The Texans' offense needed something special today and it looks like they may have gotten that in a little man named Steve Slaton. The rookie running back, who is getting his first start, bounced to the outside and broke several tackles for a 50-yard run to Tennessee's 22-yard line.

Sunday, Sept. 21 - 12:28 p.m. NASHVILLE- The Texans' defense completely let up their second time on the field, letting Collins pick apart the secondary. Titans running back LenDale White ultimately ran in the score for a 2-yard touchdown.

Sunday, Sept. 21 - 12:18 p.m. NASHVILLE- Houston's offense came out a little slow with quarterback Matt Schaub throwing two incomplete passes on the first possession. But the Texans' defense ignited the team. Cornerback Jacques Reeves picked off a Kerry Collins pass and returned it 33 yards. It was Reeves' second career interception and his first as a Texan.

The Texans weren't able to score a touchdown in the red zone, but they did put points on the board with Kris Brown's 44-yard field goal.

Sunday, Sept. 21 - 11:38 a.m. NASHVILLE- Here we go... less than 30 minutes before the Texans face the AFC South rival Tennessee Titans at LP Field.

It's a a sunny, warm day in the Music City...and the players are ready for it to get even more heated on the field.

Here is an update on the inactives. For the Texans: cornerback Eugene Wilson, running back Ahman Green, linebacker Xavier Adibi, guard Kasey Studdard, offensive tackle Rashad Butler, tight end Mark Bruener, defensive end Earl Cochran and defensive tackle Travis Johnson. Rookie Steve Slaton will start for Green and tackle Jeff Zgonina will start in place of Johnson.

Inactives for the Titans: quarterback Vince Young, wideout Paul Williams, wideout Justin Gage, running back Chris Henry, linebacker Colin Allred, offensive tackle Mike Otto, defensive end Jacob Ford and defensive tackle Kevin VIckerson.
