Mario Williams - Defensive POY?

Per John McClain of the Houston Chronicle, Texans coach Gary Kubiak hopes that defensive end Mario Williams will play well enough to compete for the NFL's defensive player of the year award this season.

Over the last two seasons, Williams is fourth in the NFL with 26 sacks. He has recorded 46.4 percent of his team's sacks, the highest percentage of any player in the league in that time.
