TEXANS TEAM NOTES

THE TEXANS:

  • Recorded a season-high eight offensive plays of 20-plus yards, included four in the third quarter
  • Scored 19 points in the third quarter, the highest third-quarter point total in franchise history
  • Posted 25 total points in the second half, the team's highest total since scoring 29 second-half points vs. Tennessee in Week 17 of the 2020 season
  • Recorded 231 passing yards in the second half, the team's highest total since posting 261 second-half passing yards vs. Atlanta in Week 5 of the 2019 season
  • Averaged 6.3 yards per play, Houston's third-highest rate of the season and the fifth-highest rate allowed by Tennessee this season

SCORING PLAYS:

  • 3rd Quarter – WR Chris Moore caught a 28-yard touchdown pass from QB Davis Mills, capping off an eight-play, 72-yard drive (3:42), cutting the Titans lead to 21-7 following the converted extra point attempt by K Ka'imi Fairbairn
  • 3rd Quarter – K Ka'imi Fairbairn connected on a 31-yard field goal attempt to conclude an eight-play, 52-yard drive (4:04), reducing the Titans lead to 21-10
  • 4th Quarter – WR Danny Amendola caught a 7-yard touchdown pass from QB Davis Mills, completing an eight-play, 82-yard drive (4:01), cutting the Titans lead to 21-18 after a 2-yard completion from Mills to Amendola on the two-point attempt
  • 4th Quarter – WR Danny Amendola caught a 26-yard touchdown pass from QB Davis Mills to conclude a seven-play, 75-yard drive (2:56), cutting the Titans lead to 28-25 following the converted extra point attempt by K Ka'imi Fairbairn

  • Recorded season highs in receptions (seven), receiving yards (113) and receiving touchdowns (two), averaging 16.1 yards per reception
  • Tied his single-game career high for receiving touchdowns while recording the fifth-highest single-game receiving yardage total of his career
  • Caught a 7-yard touchdown pass and a two-point conversion from QB Davis Mills in the fourth quarter to cut the Titans lead to 21-18
  • Caught a 26-yard touchdown pass from QB Davis Mills in the fourth quarter to cut the deficit to 28-25

DL ROSS BLACKLOCK

  • Posted a career-high two quarterback hits in addition to one solo tackle

DB TERRENCE BROOKS

  • Tied for the team lead with eight tackles (six solo) while also notching one pass defensed

RB REX BURKHEAD

  • Rushed 12 times for 24 yards (2.0 avg.) and caught three passes for 42 receiving yards (14.0 avg.)

DL MALIEK COLLINS

  • Recorded two tackles (one solo), 1.0 sack, two quarterback hits and one tackle for loss
  • Sacked QB Ryan Tannehill for a loss of six yards in the third quarter, moving his season total to 2.5 sacks
  • Finished the season with a career-high nine tackles for loss

WR NICO COLLINS
