Report: Jackson agrees to deal in time for camp

Texans first-round draft pick Kareem Jackson has reached an agreement with the team in time for training camp, per John McClain of the Houston Chronicle on Twitter. The 20th overall pick out of Alabama enters camp as a starting cornerback opposite second-year pro Glover Quin.

The Texans have yet to announce anything on Jackson or second-round pick Ben Tate, but McClain reports they will be on the field along with the rest of the Texans' draft picks at the team's first practice of camp, which starts in about 10 minutes and is where I'm heading as soon as I finish this post.

We'll have plenty on the rookies and any other news-worthy items as soon as practice is through.
