Rookie duty

As he transitions from tight end to wide receiver, seventh-round draft pick Dorin Dickerson is lining up behind Andre Johnson and getting a chance to learn from one of the best in the business.

He's also getting to carry his shoulder pads.

"It's not that bad, really," Dickerson, smiling as he picked up Johnson's pads after practice this morning, said of life as a Texans rookie. "They don't really haze us or nothing around here. Aside from this, I have to do a rookie skit tonight, but it's fine. They treat us with respect. We're all reaching for the same goal around here."
