Team doctor moving on

Texans team orthopedist Dr. Tom Clanton is **leaving Houston in July** to take over the sports medicine foot and ankle section at the Steadman-Hawkins Clinic in Vail, Colo., where two of his daughters live, per Mark Berman of FOX 26 News. Clanton, who has been with the Texans since their inception, also will be leaving his post as a physician for the Houston Rockets and Rice University.

Clanton is the current chief of orthopedic services at Memorial Hermann Hospital, the co-medical director of The Sports Medicine Institute at Memorial Hermann and the interim chair of the department of orthopedic surgery at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston.

We wish him the best of luck.
