Texans assistant offensive line coach Frank Pollack will be inducted into the Northern Arizona University Athletics Hall of Fame in Nov. 12, the school recently announced.
Pollack was a four-year letter winner at NAU, earning Associated Press All-America and All-Big Sky honors in 1989 after his senior season with the Lumberjacks. The Phoenix native was drafted in the sixth round by the San Francisco 49ers in 1990 and spent eight seasons as an offensive lineman with the 49ers and Denver Broncos. Pollack won a Super Bowl title with the 49ers in 1995, a season in which he started four games.
Now entering his fourth season with the Texans, Pollack began his coaching career as an assistant at NAU from 2005-06.
Texans running backs coach Chick Harris is also in the NAU Athletics Hall of Fame. Harris played running back and cornerback at the school from 1966-69. He also lettered in track and field.
