Texans donating to Galveston schools

The Texans, Douglas Pads and the National Football League will be making a donation to the Galveston Independent School District tomorrow, Feb. 12, at 2 p.m. in the gym at Galveston Ball High School to help with losses incurred durring Hurricane Ike. Ball High School served as a supply distribution center for the ravaged coastal city in the aftermath of the hurricane.

The Texans will donate pads, footballs, planners and football gear. Douglas will be donating over 350 sets of football pads, and the NFL will donate 100 footballs. Texans defensive tackle Jeff Zgonina will be in attendance. Check back later in the week for coverage of the event on HoustonTexans.com.
